Reiki has been one of the greatest blessings I have received in my life. It’s the backbone of my spiritual life as well as my daily life. I always invite Reiki to accompany me even in the smallest things as cooking, cleaning, taking a walk or a shower, gardening or deeper things like doing soul healing sessions for clients. But, maybe you haven’t heard about Reiki before and are wondering what it is, or maybe you have a vague idea. In any case I want to provide a better understanding of what this subtle energy is and about its benefits.

I really like the definition from the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT), describing Reiki as a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It may seem like a simple description and at the beginning I kind of had a problem with it because I thought “It is too simple, Reiki is more than that!”. Even though it is true that Reiki transcends the physical benefits, it is also true that after a Reiki session you will feel more relaxed and less stressed. All of my clients so far, after having experienced Reiki have told me “I feel so relaxed”, “I feel very calm”, or “I definitely feel lighter”.
So, how does it work? It is based on the fact that an energy called “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. The energy flows within the physical body through pathways called chakras, meridians and nadis and can also pass directly through the organs and tissues of the body and around us in a field of energy called the aura. If your “life force energy” is low or disrupted, then you are more likely to get sick or feel stressed, and if it is high and flowing freely, you are more capable of feeling happy and healthy.
“Every heart intention is equal and all of them benefit the growth of Reiki. Let Reiki help you hear your clearly. Then let your heart intention guide you. Sometimes it may not seem to be following your plans. Trsut in yourself and continue to listen. Continue to invite Reiki to help”. -Coleen Benelli
Reiki is a two syllable Japanese word meaning universal life force. Rei means universal, omnipresent: the spiritual wisdom or consciousness.
Ki is the nonphysical energy that gives life to all things. It is also known as Chi by the Chinese, Prana by many Asian cultures and Holy Spirit in the western world. Ki can be influenced by how you feel and the stress you may experience. Therefore, your Ki energy will be high when you feel happy, healthy and enthusiastic, and will be low when feeling the opposite: sad, pessimistic, tired and have a bad attitude towards things. Reiki works on body, mind and spirit and it stimulates a person’s own capacity to heal. The practitioner is just a vessel that channels Universe’s Divine energy.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A REIKI SESSION IN PERSON?
The client is lying fully clothed, face up, on a massage table. A spiritual connection is created between the practitioner and the recipient of Reiki and an intention is set for the session. I then proceed to channel Reiki energy through different parts of the body, intuitively and focusing on the chakra points. I also use crystals and sounds to support the healing process. Traditionally, this is how it’s done. But with Holy Fire® III Reiki, the person can experience it in a different way, through and energy that is more potent and purer, bringing a more refined healing, coming directly from the Higher Consciousness to the client.
Learn how does Reiki heals here . What the customer may feel during a session can vary from some heat, tingling, vibration, cold, or even nothing at all, and it’s all OK! There’s no right nor wrong, each individual would have their own experience; the important thing to know is that Reiki energy is intelligent: it knows exactly where to go and what to do, going to the place is needed the most in the highest possible way!
Reiki has been one of the biggest and most wonderful gifts I have received in my life for my consciousness evolution (another one is meditation). It has helped me heal wounds and mostly has strengthen my spirituality. Whatever your reason or reasons may be to be interested or at least a bit curious about Reiki, I can tell you this: you don’t need to believe in it, you just need to be open to receive, to be receptive to love, to healing, to compassion and Light. Reiki can be your silent support, the one doing its work, quietly… with loving kindness and GRACE.
Remember, you’re MAGIC!
