This is it! You are ready! You have done your homework looking for the Reiki teacher and class that connects with you. The date is coming up and you can’t help to feel a lot of excitement!
Taking this class, will definitely be a turning point in your life, as Reiki HEALS the body, the mind and the spirit, restoring the genki (healthy Ki) in the body, by releasing or breaking byoki (unhealthy Ki) apart. By doing so, this special energy healing, helps bring well-being, transforming you from the inside out.
What makes the learning of Reiki different from other energy healing modalities? The fact that it needs and attunement or placement to be passed on from teacher to student. A Reiki attunement (also called Placement in Holy Fire®) is a process of empowerment that connects you to the Source of Reiki. Author Faye Bridges, in her book Reiki Meditation, explains the attunement in a very simple way: “is an initiation that allows your body to open up your palm chakras, heart, and crown so that the energies can flow through the Reiki practitioner’s body to your body”. The attunement is the most important part of a Reiki class.
During the placement, and probably for some time after, changes will be made within you to enable you to channel Reiki. These changes take place metaphysically, in your energy system and in your physical body: a clearing process takes place to release emotional and physical toxins.
In order to improve the outcome of all you’ll receive during the attunement, I recommend you prepare your body for it through a purification process. This will support the energies to flow more efficiently and create better benefits for you. This is optional, you decide to follow these recommendations if you feel guided to do so.
- Abstain from eating meat or fowl from your diet three days before your attunement or placement. These foods contain drugs in the form of antibiotics, and toxins from pesticides and heavy metals, that make your system slow down and put it out of balance.
- Minimize the use of coffee and caffeine drinks or stop completely at least three days before your appointment. They create imbalance in the nervous and endocrine system. Use no caffeine drinks on class days.
- Use no alcohol for at least three days prior attunement.
- Cut on sweets and chocolates or stop completely.
- If you smoke, minimize as much as possible including the day of the placement.
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
- Meditate for 30 mins each day for at least a week (the style of meditation chosen is of no importance), to create a sacred space within you.
- Take some walks in nature, quietly and get moderate exercise.
- Rest by getting enough sleep.
- Open your heart and be ready to release anger, fear, resentments, jealousy, worries, etc., to send them to the Light.
- Consider a water or juice fast for one to three days specially if you’re already used to doing fasting.
These are recommendations that you aren’t obliged to follow but will definitely help you get the best out of your attunement experience.
Are you interested in preparing yourself a REIKI JUICE? Here’s a recipe that Hawayo Takata, one of the greatest Reiki teachers, recommended:
All ingredients should be organic, but if not, make sure that you wash them with a vegetable wash to remove pesticides and chemicals.
- Beet of about 2 inches in diameter. You can also include some of the greens.
- Tablespoon watercress or about 10 small leaves.
- Stalks of celery.
- Medium carrot.
- Cups purified or spring water
3-5 minutes Reiki (You can bless the juice with Reiki once you are attuned to it)
Chop all the ingredients and place in a high-speed blender or juice maker. Before and during the blending you can place your hands on the container and give Reiki for several minutes. This juice is not only a blood purifier, but also a powerful detoxifier, especially for the liver, gallbladder and lungs, because of this, it should be drank with caution and slowly, consuming about half the juice at first, placing the rest in the refrigerator. Wait approximately 1 hour before drinking the rest and pay attention to the way your body is reacting to it. If this amount is right for you, drink every day. It gives mental clarity, a feeling of lightness, energy and vitality.
I wish you the best of experiences in your Reiki classes, remember to be open and kind to yourself and just let Reiki flow and do its work!
Remember you’re MAGIC!
