Healing. I came across a better understanding of this word 9 years ago when the world I built fell apart and I needed to take a good look at myself as a whole, beyond the physical health. With my background in medical studies and many years working in the pharmaceutical industry, my surroundings were all about science, therefore I understood healing from a body perspective: if your body is sick, you take a medication or have a procedure done and then your body may heal. But when I saw myself back then, broken inside (at least I felt like that), I started to see with curiosity the word “healing” and how it was related to not only the physical, but also the mind, the heart and the Spirit.
You can also listen to this video, from my podcast The Phoenix Rising:
I was looking to feel better: to heal my broken heart but also develop a better relationship with myself. I wanted to not feel sad anymore, to have self-esteem and ultimately feel joy and fulfillment in my life. I dared then, to take a good look at myself in the mirror to see what I liked and didn’t like about myself. Afterwards, when I started my healing journey, my understanding of what it means expanded and I continue to have an open mind and heart to discovering additional meanings.
In my daily work as an intuitive coach and energy healer, I encounter wonderful souls, just like yours, that ask me two important questions: what’s healing? how do I start? At the moment, I want to share with you what healing is from an spiritual and holistic point of view, as this term can take different connotations and concepts. To me, healing is related very much to a feeling of freedom and inner peace that comes as results when you free yourself from the heaviness of the past, but there’s more to it. Let’s dive deeper:
“Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are.”
– Rachel Naomi Remen
- When you heal, you stop repeating patterns, actions and behaviours that are restricting your own self-expression. When you do this, you start connecting with your own authenticity and originality, which is what your Soul loves!
- When you heal, you rearrange in your heart the elements within you that form your life experiences and how you perceive them. You reposition this inner landscape in a way that supports you and boost you into Life with Love and Power.
- When you heal, you reconcile by making peace with experiences and people, by coexisting in harmony, which gives you a lot of Strength and Power.
-
When you heal, you also take your own place in the world following our own Soul’s path in authenticity, instead of doing what you’re “supposed” to do or “should” do.
-
When you heal, you release energy blockages and raise your vibration, because by creating all the changes mentioned above, your life force energy flows freely, feeling you up with positive energy.
- When you heal, you improve the relationship with yourself, by remembering and understanding who you really are, unapologetically!
So, this is what healing is… very powerful stuff! don’t you think? My healing journey has taken me to discover my inner garden (remember I mentioned the landscape? well mine felt back then like a very dry desert!), to encounter abilities, talents and passions I didn’t know I had, and above all my connection to my, intuition, Higher Self and The Source are my GPS! Today, I live everyday with purpose following my intuition and taking actions that are in alignment with my Soul.
Would you like to know how to start your healing process? That’s coming on my next blog article!
Remember you’re MAGIC!
